The Proteo Pesca was designed in the ’90s with invaluable input from the most demanding customers, who also used it as a working fishing boat: it is a well tried and tested model, with dozens of craft sold. It has all the distinctive features of a working boat: stability for trawling, for laying traps or for trolling rod fishing, high cruising speed for getting to far-off fishing spots fast, and minimum speed for trolling (less than one knot using the trolling valve). All this is combined with excellent overall comfort and very classy finishings: the bow cabin provides a sheltered helm position and has two comfortable couchettes, the completely teak-lined interior is light and comfortable and on the outside the roomy cockpit has space for benches, rod holders and various storage compartments. The boat can also easily be steered from the stern with a tiller bar and dual controls. Large range. The cockpit is self-draining. The hull’s full, wide, rounded shape prevents listing and careening and allows impressive speeds.
There is also a “plus” version with the engine below the deck; in this case the cockpit is larger and completely free from obstructions and the engine cover. In this configuration, this is an outstanding boat not only as a working fishing craft or for amateur fishermen, but also for diving schools which convey guests to the diving sites.
